Our story
PayrollRX has run payroll from Metairie, Louisiana for more than two decades. Clients who started with a handful of employees now run hundreds, and they still work with the same people who set them up.
We've kept payroll running through hiring waves, new locations, new tax rules, and more than one hurricane. The company got its name from what clients kept telling us: payroll was a headache until it wasn't.

That's the whole philosophy. Payroll is a service business. The software matters, and ours is excellent, but the reason clients stay for a decade is that a person they trust picks up the phone.

Nine people run every payroll we touch, with more than 150 years of payroll experience between them. When we say you keep your rep, this is who we mean.
David W. Scheuermann
Founder & Owner
David founded Payroll Rx and has run it ever since. He graduated from Holy Cross, earned his accounting degree from LSU New Orleans in 1991, and passed the CPA exam in 1993. He has worked in accounting and payroll for more than three decades, in both private and public practice.
That training shows up in how the company runs: accurate, compliant, and quick to pick up the phone.
Outside the office, David has been his church's treasurer for 12 years. His daughter Elizabeth is 20 and in college.
Holly McGar
Sales Partner
Holly has spent 20 years at Payroll Rx solving the problems that keep business owners up at night, not just processing payroll. She has helped clients avoid IRS penalties, untangled compliance messes left by previous providers, and built time-saving processes for multi-state payroll. Clients call her a trusted advisor more than a salesperson: she listens first, then finds the most cost-effective plan.
Away from work it's family, church, and travel.
Yvette Schubert
Vice President, Operations
Yvette has spent 15 years helping the company grow while keeping client service steady. She holds a finance degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and oversees the day-to-day operations that keep every client's payroll running on time.
Off the clock she bowls, and she pulls for the Saints, the Pelicans, and the Cubs.
Brittany Chaplain
Tax Manager
Brittany joined in 2013 and is the person you want when an IRS or state tax notice shows up. She holds an associate degree in accounting and specializes in payroll tax compliance: clear explanations, fast resolutions, less stress.
Born and raised in Chalmette, she's a wife and mom of three.
Stephanie Eshleman
Payroll Processing, Implementation Specialist
Stephanie has spent more than 11 years in payroll, specializing in system programming and implementation. She configures the timekeeping and benefits pieces of the payroll system so everything runs accurately without the busywork. She holds a bachelor's degree from Nicholls State.
Outside of work she keeps up with her four kids and their calendars.
Gabrielle Schubert
Payroll Processing, Shipping & Retirement
Gabrielle joined in 2017 and heads the shipping department, handling payroll processing, shipping, and clients' retirement contributions. Dependable and detail-first.
In her free time she's behind a camera or with family and friends.
Johnny Cortez
Payroll Service Representative
Johnny brings more than 40 years of payroll, compliance, and auditing experience to the rep desk. His rule is simple: when it's somebody's paycheck, you get it right.
He's an accomplished bowler who pulls for LSU, the Saints, and the Braves.
Nickie Diamond
Payroll Service Representative
Nickie has spent 12 years in payroll, including working directly with the IRS to resolve tax problems on clients' behalf. Her goal is that none of it lands on your plate.
A Baton Rouge native now living in Mississippi, she has two grown sons in Nashville and a daughter starting high school.
Kelli Ledet
Payroll Service Representative
Kelli has more than 10 years of customer service behind her and treats every paycheck like it's her own. Clients count on her for accurate answers, quick responses, and thoughtful problem-solving.
She's a mom of three, a proud grandmother of one, and unwinds with video games and crafting.
